Dr. Ted C.T. FONG

Dr. Fong obtained the Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong in 2019. His Ph.D. topics focus on the application of modern mediation and moderation techniques using structural equation modeling. He is currently jointly appointed as Research Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Centre on Behavioral Health and Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention.

His research interests lie in the use of modern quantitative psychometric methods on psychiatric epidemiology and behavioral health of various populations such as young adult gamers, cancer patients, general population, and older patients with cognitive impairment.

He has published extensively on scale psychometrics, mediation/moderation, and latent heterogeneity of behavioral outcomes across various fields, namely, public health, psychiatry, clinical psychology, biomedical social sciences, and health care sciences. His works have appeared in renowned international journals such as Social Sciences & Medicine, JMIR Public Health and Surveillance, International Journal of Social Psychiatry, Psychiatry Research, and Journal of Affective Disorders.
